In a Hindu text an important part is when a man is asked "of all the amazing things in the world, what is the most amazing?" reply "the most amazing thing is that although everyone sees his parents dying, and everything around him dying, still we live as though we will live forever. This is truly amazing"

Ultimately our denial of death hinges on our need for meaning though its our psychological urge to hide that we are not a "unique snowflake"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terror_management_theoryJaynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21699046.post-57894948729944709322007-10-07T06:06:00.000+01:002007-10-07T06:06:00.000+01:00Louie, that was like mental sex. IMO, we begin as computers. Our billions of bits of DNA, like a computer, are always going to have random unexplainable flaws that defy a set program (we share 98% of the same DNA with a chimp, they just have more flaws from a less advantageous evolutionary DNA computer program for the current world (unless you'd rather be a chimpanzee, Louie.) Everything is relative.

At the beginning of life, with a template established by sperm and eggs that have similar, permanent subsets of genetic flaws that lead to different races, similar features that occur more often in people from different countries, etc. The same rule applies to all physical and mental characteristics. This theory, combined with neurogenesis (our brains constantly grow new cells in response to our environment and everything you do--reading, driving a taxi, etc. Education alone proves this. In conclusion, EVERYTHING IS POINTLESS!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHH......BAM! That's sound my mom will hear as I die in a few minutes. Bye Louie, you mind-fucker. )P Good thing I take meds. Ha. That satisfied my manic-depressive mind.Jeffhttp://www.thegayblackjew.comnoreply@blogger.com
